For easy use:

1. It is best to hold the jigger between the index and middle fingers or between the middle and ring fingers. However, you can hold it between your thumb and one or two fingers. Most important be comfortable holding your jigger.
2. Grip your jigger firmly whilst your hand is loose so you can pour easily. Ideally, you want to be able to just flip your hand to pour from the jigger into your mixing vessel.
3. If possible, measure the thinnest ingredients first so that you obtain a precise measure each time. For example, liquid, light syrup, puree then heavy syrup. If the heavier ingredients need to be poured first, then rinse it out before the next ingredient.
